The Necklace

This storybook illustration project is based on The Necklace by Guy de Maupassant. All characters in the book were inspired by members of my own family and my partner’s family, making the project deeply personal to me. For this reason, the illustration process was approached with particular care and seriousness.
The project began with hand-drawn character designs and was later developed using collage and three-dimensional techniques. Velvet papers were used to enhance texture and visual richness. The illustrations were refined and assembled into a complete final format, resulting in a fully finished storybook project.
