Autumn Charity Concert
Project type
Material-Based Poster Design
Date
2011
This poster was created for an Autumn Charity Music Concert, inspired by the fragility and transformation of falling leaves.
Using a real dried leaf as the central element, I stitched a heart-shaped form onto its surface with thread, allowing the material itself to carry both visual and symbolic meaning. The strings extend downward, subtly referencing a musical instrument, merging nature and sound into a single composition.
The use of thread not only physically connects the elements but also symbolises care, repair, and emotional connection, ideas closely aligned with the spirit of a charity event.
The muted autumn palette and tactile surface create a quiet yet expressive visual language. Rather than relying on digital illustration, the poster embraces natural material and handcraft, allowing texture and imperfection to become part of the narrative.
